Bainbridge Public Safety Department will be performing fire pre-planning visits at business locations citywide over the next few months. Officers will be collecting emergency contact information for building owners and managers to update the pre-plan records in our fire software. This is a crucial strategy for enhancing emergency response by documenting vital information about a specific building or location, aiding firefighters during incidents, and improving overall efficiency and safety. Meet Joe LeSuer, our Fiber Field Coordinator:
Originally from Thomasville, GA, Joe brings over 17 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, specializing in project management, customer service, and fiber optics.
A proud father to a 15-year-old daughter and recently married to his best friend, Erin LeSuer, he is growing his family from 2 to 7. Together, they're embarking on the exciting journey of renovating a historic home, set to be their new residence in the coming months.
Before joining the City of Bainbridge nearly three years ago, Joe spent 11 years in new home construction and historic renovation. His telecommunications career began in 2009 with the City of Thomasville, where he worked on phone, internet, and cable installations, later transitioning to commercial fiber.
Joe is deeply passionate about bringing high-speed internet to the Bainbridge community. He's honored to be part of such a dedicated team, and he finds it rewarding to connect with residents and contribute to the community's growth.
A strong believer in teamwork and service, Joe feels incredibly fortunate to be part of a project making a lasting impact on the lives of many in Bainbridge.

Downtown Development Authority Director Amanda Glover and Community Affairs Director Crystal Hines spoke to the Rotary Club last week at their meeting. Amanda gave a brief update on downtown improvements and plans while Crystal spoke to the impact visitor spending is having on the local economy. They also had the opportunity to catch up retired City Manager Charles Tyson and longtime City Councilman Luther Conyers who were in attendance.

At last week's Phoenix Affair event, the coveted "Community Ally” Award was given to longtime and recently retired City of Bainbridge Administrative Assistant Judy Franklin for her tireless efforts to make it a “Better Bainbridge” for everyone regardless of race, ethnic background or socio-economic status.
