Georgia Exceptional Main Street communities, better known as GEMS, are downtowns that have demonstrated exceptional impact through local leadership, community investment, historic preservation, economic development, and the successful implementation of the Main Street Approach.
This designation reflects the hard work of our local businesses, property owners, community partners, volunteers, and residents who continue to invest in the heart of Bainbridge. Together, we are creating a vibrant downtown filled with thriving small businesses, beautiful public spaces, engaging events, preservation projects, and strong partnerships that strengthen our community.
