July's Fire Safety Tip: Portable Air Conditioner Safety *Portable air conditioner units can cause fires if plugged into an extension cord or surge protector. They are not rated high enough to safely power a portable unit. *This can cause even a new cord in good condition to overheat and catch fire. *Plug directly into a wall outlet. *Do not run the cord from the unit under a rug or through a wall. This can also lead to overheating and put the electrical cord in contact with flammable materials.

Tell Me Something Good Friday: More Than Just a Park Chason Park isn’t just a gem for Bainbridge — it’s a regional highlight where learning meets fun! Just ask this group of students from Seminole County, who recently explored the park and experienced all it has to offer. Thanks to thoughtful planning and investment, Chason Park has become a hub for recreation, education, and economic impact — drawing visitors who shop local, dine local, and help our community thrive. We're proud to share this special place with our neighbors across Southwest Georgia!

The water department is repairing a water leak on Rolenstro and had to turn off the water main. Water will be affected on Rolenstro and Rivervale. Work shouldn't take long but could take up to a few hours if they experience any complications.

That powerful T-SPLOST penny was back at work this week—this time resurfacing Magnolia and Orange Streets! It may be just a penny, but it packs a powerful punch for Bainbridge—improving roads, enhancing safety, and keeping our community moving forward. Thanks for investing in progress—one cent at a time.
