Mayor Edward Reynolds had the honor of administering the oaths of office to four new Bainbridge Public Safety officers: Peyton Dodson, Bennett Harrison, Kyle Swicord, and Hunter Jones.

We’re excited to welcome them to the Bainbridge Public Safety family and look forward to the positive contributions they’ll make in serving and protecting our community!

At last night's City Council meeting, Marnie Johns was named as Employee of the Quarter. Marnie serves as the Animal Services Director and has been instrumental in the operation of the new shelter. Marnie was nominated by her supervisor, Steve O'Neil and voted on by her peers for stepping up into her new role seamlessly.

Thank you, Marnie, for your commitment to our community and more so, our furry residents!

Update to the Alice Street paving project: Because of the chance of rain over the next couple of days, we are going to postpone the resurfacing of Alice Street. We will notify here of the new paving date.

They are not rated high enough to safely power a portable unit. *This can cause even a new cord in good condition to overheat and catch fire. *Plug directly into a wall outlet. *Do not run the cord from the unit under a rug or through a wall. This can also lead to overheating and put the electrical cord in contact with flammable materials.

The water department is repairing a water leak on Rolenstro and had to turn off the water main. Water will be affected on Rolenstro and Rivervale. Work shouldn't take long but could take up to a few hours if they experience any complications.

That powerful T-SPLOST penny was back at work this week—this time resurfacing Magnolia and Orange Streets!
