We gathered for our quarterly Employee Appreciation Luncheon to enjoy good food, great company, and an opportunity to recognize the dedicated individuals who serve our community each day.
A special congratulations to four employees celebrating remarkable service milestones with the City of Bainbridge!

The City of Bainbridge enjoyed connecting with students and introducing them to career opportunities in local government at the Bainbridge High School Career Fair!
Representatives from the City's Administrative Services Department and Bainbridge Public Safety met with students to discuss their professional experiences and highlight the wide variety of careers available within the City.
Students also participated in an interactive career quiz designed to help them discover which City departments might be the best fit for their interests and skills. The results offered a fun look at where the next generation of City employees might find their place!
Representing Administrative Services were Megan Tarnow and Lisa Taylor, alongside Mark Esquivel and Ryan Wimberley from Bainbridge Public Safety.

The City of Bainbridge is currently experiencing a water service interruption affecting customers at and around the intersection of Broughton Street and Magnolia Drive due to a service line repair.
City crews are working to complete the necessary repairs and restore water service as quickly as possible.

This annual observance provides an opportunity for our community to come together in recognition of the service, dedication, and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Following the ceremony, a special luncheon honoring our veterans will be held at 11:45 AM in the Bainbridge High School Band Room. The luncheon is free for veterans.
Veterans wishing to attend the luncheon are asked to RSVP by November 4 to reserve their place.

Community leaders, local officials, members of the Bainbridge High School Band, and the LongHorn team gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. The celebration also included a special LongHorn tradition, with Mayor Sylvia Washington cutting the ceremonial steak!
Beyond bringing a new dining option to Bainbridge, LongHorn Steakhouse has created 90 new jobs, providing valuable employment opportunities and making a positive impact on our local economy.
We are proud to welcome LongHorn Steakhouse to Bainbridge and look forward to seeing their success in our community. Congratulations to the entire team on this exciting milestone!

During the closure, traffic will be rerouted as follows:
Truck Traffic: Trucks should use the Highway 27 Bypass exits at Louise Street (near Walmart) or Shotwell Street (near the Boat Basin).
Local Traffic: Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to use Broad Street, Evans Street, or McNair Street as alternate routes.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling near the work area.
