We’re aware of recent videos and photos showing bear activity within the city limits. While it can be surprising to see wildlife in town, it’s important to remember:
We encourage residents to follow guidance from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), which outlines what to do if you see a bear and how to avoid attracting them to your property.
📲 You can find that information here: https://gadnr.org/if-you-know-you-know-being-bearwise-knowing-what-do-if-you-see-black-bear
