Our parks and public spaces are at the heart of what makes Bainbridge such a special place to live and visit. From beautiful Chason Park to the exciting Mega Ramps, we’ve invested in these areas to create spaces for families, friends, and neighbors to enjoy.
That’s why it’s so disappointing when vandalism occurs. Over the weekend, both Chason Park and the Mega Ramps restrooms were damaged, resulting in two juveniles being charged with Interference with Government Property, a felony. Incidents like this take time, money, and resources away from making our community even better.
These spaces belong to all of us, and we each have a part to play in keeping them clean, safe, and welcoming. Bainbridge Public Safety responded quickly, and while accountability is important, our greater goal is protecting and preserving what we’ve built together.
We ask everyone—residents and visitors alike—to help us care for our parks. If you see something concerning, please let us know. With your help, we can continue to make Bainbridge a place we’re all proud to call home.
