MEET OUR INVESTIGATORS:

Investigator Brian Donalson was hired with the City of Bainbridge in October of 1995 and was then assigned to Public Safety Officer's duties until October of 1997. This is when the Investigator joined the South Georgia Drug Task Force in Lakeland, Georgia. At the South Georgia Drug Task Force Donalson was classified as a Special Agent and worked a six county area under GBI supervision. In April of 1999 he rejoined the Bainbridge Department of Public Safety as a Criminal Investigator and has worked in this capacity ever since. The Investigator is a certified Arson Investigator with the State of Georgia, as well as a certified Clandestine Laboratory Investigator by the DEA. The Investigator has hundreds of hours of specialized training in the law enforcement field, as well as the narcotics field. The Investigator is also very civic minded. He is a member of Masonic Orion Lodge #8 of Bainbridge, an active member of the Kiwanis club, works with Leadership Decatur County on committees, and is president of the Deep South Georgia Bulldawg Club! "Go Dawgs!"

Investigator James N. Dollar II began his career in law enforcement with the Donalsonville Police Department in 1994 as a patrol officer. While assigned to the agency, Dollar held the positions of Corporal and Sergeant. From 1998 to 2000, Dollar was employed by the Dade County Sheriff's Office as a Sergeant. While with the agency Dollar was assigned to the patrol division and also worked Interstate Drug Interdiction. Investigator Dollar has also been employed by the State of Missouri in St. Louis, as well as the Decatur County Sheriff's Office. Investigator Dollar was hired by the Bainbridge Department of Public Safety in September of 2002 and assigned as a Public Safety Officer. Dollar was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division in January of 2004. Investigator Dollar has numerous hours of specialized training and maintains certifications in many of the tools and procedures utilized by modern law enforcement agencies. Investigator Dollar is a U.S. Army Persian Gulf Veteran, and enjoys a wide variety of hobbies, the most important of which is spending time with his family.

Investigator Mark Esquivel has been employed with Bainbridge Public Safety since October 2003. Before coming to Bainbridge, Investigator Esquivel was employed with the Southwest Georgia Drug Task Force for five years. The Drug Task Force worked Mitchell, Baker, and Grady Counties. During his time at the Drug Task Force he achieved the rank of Lieutenant and was trained in all aspects of Narcotic Investigations. Investigator Esquivel is Marijuana Identification Certified with the State of Georgia as well as a certified Clandestine Laboratory Investigator and a Methamphetamine Lab Site Safety Officer by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Before becoming a Law Enforcement officer Investigator Esquivel was in the U.S. Army and served with the 3rd Ranger Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment.

Investigator James E. Spooner, Jr. has been employed with Bainbridge Public Safety since November 2003. Prior to coming to Public Safety, Investigator Spooner was an Investigator with the Decatur County Sheriff's Office for four years. Investigator Spooner has also worked as a Patrol Deputy with the Sheriff's Office, a Patrol Officer with the Cities of Cairo and Whigham, and as a School Resource Officer at Bainbridge High School. Prior to going into Law Enforcement, Investigator Spooner worked as a Paramedic for ten years. Investigator Spooner is certified in Marijuana Identification, Computer Voice Stress Analysis, as a Crime Scene Technician, and as a Glock Armorer. He also has specialized training in violent crime and homicide investigations.
