Hunting Details
Mayhaw WMA contains 4,681 acres in 3 tracts. Driving the mostly dirt roads through and along the edge of tracts will take you into hardwood bottoms, cypress-gum wetlands, and young and mature pines. Look for ibis and woodstork in the wetlands during the summer15.  Mayhaw Wildlife Management Area.

 

         SHOOTING RANGES
DNR provides shooting ranges (rifle, handgun, and archery) on several WMAs statewide. Range rules are posted at all ranges. Ranges are not staffed; use ranges at your own risk. The following WMAs have firearm shooting ranges: Beaverdam, Big Hammock, Clybel, Cohutta, Dixon Memorial, John's Mountain , Mayhaw, Redlands, Richmond Hill, West Point, Wilson Shoals, and Yuchi. Archery ranges are located on Beaverdam, Big Hammock, Clark Hill, Grand Bay, Oconee and Rich Mountain (Cartecay Tract) WMAs.
