Bainbridge Planning Commission

The City of Bainbridge Planning Commission recommends or makes suggestions to the city council concerning the laying out, widening, extending and parking on and location of streets, sidewalks and boulevards; the relief of traffic conditions, congestion, and development of housing and sanitary conditions, and the establishment of zones or districts; makes suggestions concerning the use of buildings or structures and land; recommends to the city council and all other public authorities plans for the future growth, development, and improvement of the municipality, especially with regard to its public and private buildings, works, streets, parks, grounds and vacant lots; recommends plans consistent with the future growth and development of the city, looking toward the proper sanitation and service by public utilities. The Bainbridge Planning Commission studies and proposes such measures as may be advisable for the promotion of public interests, health, morals, safety, comfort, convenience and welfare of the city.

Members of the commission include Chris Davis, Eddie Jordan, Frank Flowers, Jewana Love, Lillie Brown, Marcie Miller, Phil Long, Rachel Trolinger, and Roy Oliver. The Bainbridge Planning Commission meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm (only when an application has been submitted for review) in the Council Chambers located at City Hall.
